And I'm pretty sure there was a thread on this topic before but I can't be bothered to search it atm, so if you can merge it or something that'd be swell. But I was wondering what happened with the Android VCDQ app? Did it ever materialize and is anybody willing to make one for iOS (to submit to Cydia)? I'm currently using 'Tapatalk' as of today and it's nice but it would still be fantastic to have an actual VCDQ app and I simply don't have the knowledge to attempt such.

There used to be a VCDQ app before we did the first rewrite. We're looking to get something similar in the near future but don't forget you can also use our Twitter or RSS feeds (build your filter THEN click the RSS button for your own custom feed) for update information and the site should work on smartphones without any major hassle - except for the samples.

Seeing as that was pretty easily answered, I was hoping we could change the subject of the title to "Android/iOS Apps"?

I've recently got myself a Samsung Galaxy S2 after years of using a company BlackBerry that is locked down so that you can't install anything whatsoever. As a result of never straying into the world of Android/iOS, I'm now slightly overwhelmed with the amount of apps out there and wondered what you all consider must-have apps?

Layar, Mort Player, Beeb Player, Dolphin Browser and Astro spring to mind... and cos its you, Grindr, probably

I'm not sure which apps Android does or does not share with iOS, but if they have VLC, I'd consider it a necessity.
