for some days now i was thinking VCDQ wasn't giving updates on new releases, and all forum activity was from a few days back. Now i just registered an account, and voila, all forum posts are showing the correct dates, as well as the main page and all the new releases ...

the dates were something like 28-07-10

Yeah, I can confirm this. It's a weird one, it's only affecting the forum... I'll get it looked into.
