That has to be one of my fave openings to a film....tense is not the word!

Ended up dl'ing the first 2 episodes and I'm hooked as well. Gonna give the 3rd a watch today but though I have to agree with NS (and others) that it is a bit cliche' so far I've enjoyed it immensely and I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies. Lot of tension and some predictable stuff but overall pretty damn good so far.

I know where your all going with it being cliche, I'm half expected Asian kid to take out a laptop and hack the zombies.

Anyone else think its gone downhill since the pilot.

It seems to have dragged out the comic's storyline a bit, but the later episodes have some really nice stories in them. Sadly it does get much, much shittier by what I would expect to be the end of the second season. Darabont is going to have to start getting more "creative" with his storylines and move off the script.

Although I'm yet to see the season finale I've been fairly impressed and overall it's a good show. Which makes it even weirder that Frank Darabont has fired his entire writing staff ahead of Season 2

6 fuckin episodes? Whose bright-ass idea was that? And has Fred's info been confirmed? Show got me hooked a bit though have to agree it went down a bit but still 10 months before the next season? Almost as bad as having to wait for Justified season 2 which starts in February (1st season finale was June 8th!) Why do these cable fuckers do this shit with programs that have some great potential?

I'm seeing the same news on many sites,AMC are shit they should have given this show to the professionals at HBO to handle this properly I hope its brought forward as many folk are not happy!!!

Season 2 is only 7 fucking episodes as well by the look of things... These short-run seasons are a very British thing normally, it's weird (and annoying) seeing a US show do similar.

Didn't think you were into this genre, you're more into the "robots polishing aliens knobs" genre.

Nah season 2 is 13 episodes long, but after 7 episodes the retard US network make the obligatory arsefuck break until next february.

The Walking Dead has a good, violent feel to it though and the plot is threaded throughout the series, not procedural vampire Twilight wannabe bullshit. You probably cried when Angel was cancelled and you no doubt think Sanctuary is amazing.

It's essentially a very competent soap opera set against a post-apocalyptic background. I personally couldn't give a shit about the relationship between the various characters.

This weeks episode was brilliant. Very tense moment when they're all under the cars.

Can't wait for next weeks.
