Ahhh, That's just the way of the world. Alot of things have gotten easier for ppl to do when it comes to the arena of PC's. It's funny though, bcos I had a little lesson from one sticky here that told me everything I needed to know. I guess alot of ppl arent willing to read one page on how to find what they're looking for. I hope it helps the right person.

This guy is absolutely right! Which means you guys are basicly bitching about 1 LESS PRESS of the left mouse button. Doesn't that make you feel pretty stupid?

This also renders any argument about the ramafications of links to IRC on this site MOOT since the links on the release info page have been there for forever. Which means this thread is completely and utterly pointless.

This whole thread should go into the hall of shame (except my and JoE_DaDdY's posts of course).

Anyways, even if the MPAA (or whoever) found some reason to bust this site, would it put even a dent in the scene? NO! They have bigger fish to fry than this site.

I think the weakest link of this site as far as it getting busted is the jpeg samples. I'm sure the MPAA's lawyers could twist the law around to make them as illegal as the releases themselves. But as I said before, the MPAA (or whoever) doesn't care about this site.

The difference is simple, while the links have always been there. They were somewhat hidden from the majority of visitors as most would not bother to click a release link in the first place... even i dont bother with that. And out of the minority that actually go to the release page, how many of them actually pay attention to and/or use the links at the bottom? very few i'd say.

Only reason it is not something i personally agree with is simple. As stated before. Is because with it slapped right in front of your face i fear that the community side of the website will even more cluttered with bs.

I think this IRC button is a bad thing. One connection closer to the warez scene. Although itr's not illegal it's putting VCDQuality on even shadier ground, it's also getting more 13 year warez kiddies who've found vcdquality onto irc (More god damn queues for me and it was only just starting to get better because of bittorrent.)

Putting it on the front page is just bringing attention to it. Personally I prefer if they removed the link to xdccspy altogether.

I always use the other big irc search engine.

yup i also think it is a bad idea. mainly because for most people that use irc already it will take a little bit longer for them to get the stuff they want, and it will allow little retards to just click there way to the good stuff. sure it makes it easy to use for people that don't know what they are doing, but just because it is easy to use doesn't make it a good method. also it opens up the irc underground much more, and no one wants this kind of stupid attention. anyway this post can get as long as possible i don't think the webmaster of vcdquality really cares about his users. i do hope this button crap is temporary.
